Damenti's Restaurant
About This Spot
Walking into Damenti's Restaurant feels a bit like stepping into an inviting crossroads of tradition and warmth tucked away just off I-81 in West Hazleton. The atmosphere strikes a balance that’s both relaxed and thoughtfully refined—an easy space where the hum of quiet conversations and the soft clink of glassware invite you to pause and savor the moment. It’s a place where the pace gently slows down, encouraging guests to linger over good food and good company without rush.
Damenti’s brings together an intriguing blend of American, Italian, seafood, and even South American influences, creating a menu that feels both rooted and adventurous. Here, dishes like a perfectly grilled swordfish or a tender ribeye steak come alive alongside Italian classics and unexpected touches, such as veal-stuffed eggplant or scallops with a savory garlic sauce. It’s clear that the kitchen takes care with each plate, layering flavors that invite exploration, rather than overwhelming. Sides and salads arrive with thoughtful twists—comforting yet fresh—and desserts linger on the palate in a lightly indulgent way.
Beyond the food, the genuine warmth of the staff is woven into the experience. Familiar faces greet returning guests by name, welcoming not as customers but as part of a shared local story. This attentiveness creates a feeling not found in many fine dining spots—a sense that you’re more than just at a restaurant, but within a space where people remember you and cherish your visit. The mood here keeps a subtle groove, a vibe made richer by interesting touches like the seasonal ice bar, adding a playful note without ever feeling forced.
In this corner of Pennsylvania, Damenti’s Restaurant offers a quiet kind of discovery: a chance to encounter excellent cooking, thoughtfully paired with a sense of belonging and genuine care. It’s the kind of place you come to not just to eat, but to connect—to savor small human moments alongside memorable meals.

This was unusual for me because it's rare to get to be the first to leave a review. This is a newly opened restaurant after a major fire under new ownership. So four things: 1. The food was very good. I had the duck with an orange glaze. I thought it could have used a touch more seasoning. I had a side of broccoli - I would have liked to have some melted cheddar cheese. Overall I was satisfied. 2. The service was outstanding. My server was Whitney. She was very knowledgeable, friendly, & attentive. 3. Facilities - the restaurant felt new, fresh, and clean. I definitely recommend this restaurant. 4. The prices were moderate. Not the most expensive but more than your typical chain restaurant.

We love going up to Damemti's. We go every time we're in Hazleton. The seared scallops were amazing and the meatloaf we get every time. You MUST try the shrip app. Safe to say we'll be back twice a year every year. The staff is also wonderful. They always remember my grandmother by name and are so sweet to her and her guests.

The food was fabulous. I like the menu how they offer their entrees. Beef Seafood, chicken, pasta and then underneath each category offer at least nine different types of dishes. Their sides or different from any other restaurants. I had salmon with a shrimp stuffing ,zucchini shredded with garlic butter , a blue cheese salad with extremely crispy iceberg lettuce chunks, and a sweet potato mash. The salmon was cooked to perfection quite a large serving. There was a large selection of appetizers and also desserts. I have to say the staff was extremely friendly and professional and the prices were good. We also enjoyed the ice rooms that they had built outside. While we were there the artist we're working on them and carving out the blocks we took pictures.

We had a wonderful time here. First, we stopped at the ice bar. For $10, we got a glass of wine and got to take many pictures of the awesome ice sculptures. Then we had dinner. Dinner was very good. The fish and steak seemed a bit undercooked, but they were quick to correct. Service was top-notch. The ambiance was groovey, fun, and interesting. We will be back for sure.
